Questions and Answers
Are there any prerequisites?
My book, our shared belief in Jesus Christ as our Savior, and your desire to question and do something about everything we have been conditioned to believe are the only prerequisites. You must read my book, “From the Wilderness to the Narrow Path: A Journey of Surrender and Course Correction” before our first coaching session. If you find journaling helpful, you may also purchase the companion journal with writing prompts, “From the Wilderness to the Narrow Path: My Journal of Surrender and Course Correction” but it is not required.
What qualifies you to share and have a conversation with me, and be a part of my journey?
I have a history and sin just like every other human being. I would not call myself an expert, I am no better than anyone, and I have not discovered something new. I am simply all in with Jesus Christ and continually peeling away the layers of deception that this world has imposed on us so that I can fulfill the purpose God put me here for. I hope to be an encouragement for you to do the same.
Why is your book a prerequisite and why do I need to believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior? Are there any other requirements?
Everything we discuss will tie back to the foundational principles I share in the book. Those principles require the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Savior. It gives us a mutual starting point and maximizes the efficiency of our time together. Other than being open, honest, and ready to question everything, there are no other requirements.
Why is it free?
- I am using the word “Coaching” but really, we will have conversations. If I met you in a store and we started talking, I would not charge you. If we met for coffee or a meal, I would not expect you to pay for what I ordered.
- I am being obedient in my journey by following God’s instruction to share what I have learned with others and encourage them on their journey.
- I’m not doing the work. You will be doing the work for your journey.
What will we talk about?
It is all up to you. If there is something you’re struggling with, we can discuss that. I will show you how it ties into the principles I share in the book, and more importantly in the Bible, and I will share resources I am finding helpful on my journey. Regardless of what we talk about, we will break it down, look at the foundation of it all, and discover what steps may be helpful.
Time is money. Why are you doing this?
Time is time, and it is separate from money. I am doing what the Holy Spirit is leading me to do with my time in this season.
What if I do not believe Jesus Christ is my Savior? Why do I need to be or have an interest in being a follower of Jesus Christ to schedule time with you?
Frankly speaking, this is not for everyone. My purpose is to connect with followers of Christ who want to go deeper in their journey. Those whom God intends for our paths to cross. I have not been given the task of trying to convince anyone that they should follow Christ.
What if I want to pay?
If you feel led, you may do so. I will never ask you to pay. I realize this is the part where you naturally feel suspicious, but it is not a trick. I hate the bait-and-switch tactic as much as you do. If you feel led to give, I will accept. The purpose is to only be led by the Holy Spirit and to not be held captive by guilt or feeling obligated. If the Holy Spirit tells you not to pay anything, do not pay anything, and don’t feel bad. If the Holy Spirit tells you to pay $2, pay $2, and do not feel bad. Because human nature makes this feel too good to be true, we will go deeper into this when we talk. It will be an important principle to address for other areas of life. Think of what the tip culture looks like and how we have been conditioned to feel guilty for not tipping for something we should not be put on the spot to tip for.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Other than God, there is no reason for me to discuss the details of your sessions with anyone.
How many sessions may I schedule with you?
As many or as few as you need for your journey.
Why should I do this? What will I gain from this experience?
Look at the world around you. You know something is not right. Are you feeling little nudges from the Holy Spirit but feeling fear that keeps you from taking a step? The gray area is fading fast and those who are in Christ need to be firmly rooted and connected to others who are wholeheartedly seeking God’s Kingdom. My prayer is that you will operate in the gifts God has placed in you and that you will fulfill the assignment He has put you here to do.
Why is a Coaching Agreement necessary if it’s free?
The agreement lays out important details that are necessary in any business, whether for profit or not. Kingdom business is still business, and there is a proper way to conduct it. While we are in this world but not of it, we do need to navigate it properly. Click here to review the agreement.
