Spiritual Downloads

This one is the easiest post ever…because I didn’t write it! It is a text message that I received from a good friend. God placed her in my life a little more than a year ago, and the timing was perfect. It’s amazing how God brings the right people into our lives at just the right time. She is a beautiful person inside and out, and I have learned a lot from her.

With her permission, I am sharing her text exactly as she wrote it. When we receive a word from God, it is so important to keep it pure when we share it with others, as to not insert our own thoughts and opinions.

Hey girl!! I occasionally have these spiritual downloads. I was in the shower, and I was reminded of God’s 3 answers to prayer. I wrote a note to myself and felt that I should share it with you!

God has 3 answers to prayers:

               1. Yes

               2.  Yes, but not right now

               3.  No because I’ve got something better

When we know that these are truly the 3 answers, we absolutely get what we want or even better than what we want. When God says, “Not right now,” it trips us up and makes us feel like we can’t have it when “Not right now” truly means that it’s not the best time (as much as you think it is) and it’ll come when the timing is right. Delays are blessings. God knows the best time for everything and if it’s not happening, then it’s to your benefit. We get so caught up on the “Not right now,” that we delay the “Yes” or even worse, completely block the “Yes.” We get so caught up on the “No” that we block the “Something better.” There are folks that go to the grave never receiving some of the biggest blessings that God had for them, because they blocked it their entire life. Nos and not now’s are blessings. When we know this, this activates a level of faith that is unstoppable and brings the very best to your life. This faith opens doors that you cannot open on your own. This activates and sets miracles in motion.

Whatever you ask for, just know that you’re going to get it or something better. Allow yourself to ALWAYS feel as if whatever you want is already done because God promises that what you want is going to happen or SOMETHING EVEN BETTER…if you believe it so.

So, smile right now. Be joyful right now. Be happy right now. Be grateful for your life as it is right now. Everything is perfect. Everything is as it should be. There is no need to stress or worry because something isn’t happening right now the way that we want it. No need to fear it not going our way. No need to cry or be depressed. Make the decision to believe and truly know that right now you are winning, and you will always win. With this attitude, whatever you have been blocking (whether it’s specifically what you want or something even better), will surely come your way.

I am thankful for her obedience in sharing this message with me. She has no idea of all the things that I’m praying for, but God used her to let me know that He has heard every request, and to not be moved by the way things look while I’m waiting for those prayers to be answered. It was also a reminder that while I am waiting on God, I am not to be idle. God has given me plenty to do in the meantime. I am doing those things and enjoying the journey.

There are two lessons that her text taught me. First, it was a reminder of what Mark 11:24 says. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” The second lesson was about obedience. We all can receive spiritual downloads, or hear God speaking to us. Sometimes it is just a word for us, and other times it is something that we are to share with someone else that God puts on our heart.

A few days went by, and I felt like I needed to share this message with you as well. I do not know what you are going through or what you are praying for, but what I know for sure is that God does hear and will answer our prayers when we pray and walk according to His will.
